ABOUT

It all started in a small rural town in Alberta. Growing up our father “Big Daddy” made cheesecakes for all our special occasions, for friends and neighbors. He was advised by a neighbor that he should try selling them! He soon gained notoriety around town for his delicious HOMEMADE cheesecakes. He got so busy that he needed to renovate our garage into a commercial kitchen, where “Big Daddy’s Cheesecake Co.” was born.

Our fathers dream was to open his own storefront and eventually franchise the business. Sadly, he was unable to achieve that goal. December 13th 2023, Big Daddy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. He fought a short battle, and passed away on January 8th 2024.

After his passing we kept the business going, trying to fulfill his dream and create a legacy he would be proud of. We moved to Ontario to be closer to family, where we opened our first storefront location in Essex on January 15th 2025. We thank all our great customers for helping us achieve his dream and make it a reality.
